EMS THERAPY
EMS Therapy – EMS is a new advanced treatment using controlled electrical currents to stimulate a desired response from the human body. Most commonly EMS therapy is used to simulate muscular growth & strength. EMS Therapy can also be used to improve nerve function and muscle activation after surgical intervention and injuries where muscle and nerve function is affected.
This is completed through placing small electrodes along the desired muscle. When activated the EMS creates a pulsing sensation that tricks the brain into thinking the muscle is being used during exercise. This process stimulates the muscle to activate and can be used throughout the rehabilitation process.
