Muscle Tear Treatment
Have you recently suffered a muscle tear or Strain?
Muscle tears are a common painful injury that usually occur during exercise or sport. However they can also occur during strenuous daily activity. At Fit2Function we have developed a bespoke treatment approach that helps muscle tears heal faster and more efficiently. If you are searching for a treatment that doesn’t require Medication, Gp appointments, Long NHS waiting times or steroid injections. Then our Covent Garden clinic could be the solution.
Understanding muscle tears
If you have suffered a muscle tear you will normally experience pain at the location of the strain, reduced range of motion, bruising, swelling and redness.
To treat muscle strains & tears we will use a combination of our therapies to reduce pain and increase blood flow to the injured area.
As your muscle recovers we will focus on improving the strength of the muscle and surrounding muscles to help reduce the risk of re-injury.
Your recovery is dependent on the severity of the strain. A grade one strain would require around 4 sessions whereas a grade three strain could require up to 12 treatment appointments.
What caused my muscle tear/strain?
It is very difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of your muscle tear/strain, without a physical examination. However, normally there are a number of contributing factors that could have caused your muscle tear/strain. Please see below a possible list of causes:
A sudden increase in activity such as gym work
Physical jobs that put additional strain on the body
Trauma or direct impact to the body
Muscular Imbalances around the affected area
Other healthcare conditions
